Relocating from a previous facility across town, Daimler built a new space and wanted to maximize their existing furniture investment. Our team relocated approximately 160 workstations, panels, power, HAT, and storage, under an important deadline.
We strategized the most efficient way to disassemble, move, and reinstall the inventory without damaging product, frontloading labor early and tapering the crew as the install progressed to account for the unknowns typical of any reconfigure. The teardown turned up only small, manageable punch items, and surplus inventory let us select the pieces in the best condition. Staying organized kept the process efficient. We also partnered with a local fabricator to cut down and reuse common worksurface tops for the new floor plan.
The result: the full relocation and install was completed ahead of schedule, with lead installers running their own crews on-site to divide and conquer the move.
